Kindred Fold
Disintegration was conceived as a submission for the Austin, TX Adobe Creative Jam in December 2016.   The contest was based off of a theme phrase and the requirements were to come up with a creative response, execute, and edit all within 24 hours. The theme was Moving Forward. I wanted to have something that dealt more with the internal aspect of moving forward in one's life and centered the resulting image around human relationship themes like struggle, expectations, pride, and the dissolving of oneself as you create a whole from two people. The elements of two separate people, a dust explosion, and the merging of all three items into one unified image were storytelling devices I chose to accomplish this. The image won the Photographic Judges Choice award.
